From Assumed Alignment to Shared Understanding

Most initiatives do not fail when they start. They fail when understanding is assumed.

By then, funding, planning and delivery are already built on a reality that exists only in fragments, spread across roles and disciplines. Everyone believes they understand the situation. Few see the whole. Nobody understands it the same way. It is the pattern behind most enterprise AI programmes that are quietly not delivering: the technology is understood, the enterprise it is landing in is not.

This session challenges a habit so ingrained it is rarely noticed: the belief that alignment emerges from discussion, documentation or good intentions. It does not. It has to be deliberately created.

Helgi and Milan walk through the Enterprise Scan, a structured way of surfacing what people actually believe about the enterprise, and where those beliefs diverge.

You will leave with:

  • a way to detect assumed alignment in your own current initiative, this week
  • an understanding of why misalignment stays invisible until it becomes expensive
  • the Enterprise Scan method, and how it exposes blind spots without turning the room political
  • a route to holistic understanding that does not slow delivery down

Live only: we run a compressed scan on an initiative the audience nominates in the chat. Expect at least one uncomfortable answer.

You may leave slightly less comfortable than you arrived. You will leave with a clearer view of reality.
